Thanks to David Tokheim, I came across this great presentation on why brands need to have a Content Strategy.  As the cost of creating content becomes lower every day, brands need to start thinking like a media company.  This means they need to have a Content Strategy that is firmly integrated into their marketing plans.

The presentation by Brain Traffic really brings home that point.  My favorite quote is:

You [brands] are a Publisher.  Treat your content like a critical business asset.
